# Link Building

Canonical page: https://presshero.io/service/link-building/

Link building covers targeted publisher outreach for guest posts and niche edits
(link insertions into existing indexed articles). It is the service for brands
and SEO teams that need control over which sites they appear on, what the anchor
text says, and which URL it points to — precision rather than breadth.

## How it works

Two engagement models. **Approve First (On-Demand)** starts with your criteria:
target DR, traffic minimums, niche relevance, placement type. PressHERO sources
and vets matching publishers and returns a shortlist with metrics and pricing.
You approve each site, specify anchor text and destination URL, and review the
content draft before publication. **Fully Managed** starts with a business deep
dive, then keyword discovery focused on terms sitting on page 2 or the bottom of
page 1, then a competitor backlink gap analysis to find the placements driving
rivals' rankings — and executes monthly against that plan with anchor text
optimised to stay natural.

Guest posts are new articles written to editorial standard. Niche edits place the
link into an article that is already indexed and ranking, which can produce
faster movement.

## The numbers

From $250 per link, all-inclusive — outreach, content, vetting, publication —
with price scaling by publisher authority. Minimum DR 20, average DR 50+.
Publishers must have at least 500 monthly organic visitors (average 50,000+) and
stable or growing traffic; sites in decline are filtered out. No PBNs, no guest
post farms. Every placement is dofollow by default and topically relevant.
Placements typically go live within 28 days of approval, and volume scales from
five placements a month to fifty.

## The guarantee

Every link is guaranteed live for at least 12 months; if one drops inside that
window it is replaced free. Content revisions are included. A B2B law firm
quadrupled organic traffic in 12 months on 50+ links at an average DR of 77.

## Frequently asked questions

**What is your site vetting process?**

Every site passes a strict quality filter before we reach out. No PBNs or guest post farms: we only work with real websites that publish niche-relevant content and uphold editorial standards. We prioritize sites with stable or growing organic traffic (minimum 500 monthly visitors, average 50,000+), and filter out anything in decline. All placements are on topically relevant sites with a minimum DR of 20 (average 50+), and every link is dofollow by default.

**What's the difference between guest posts and niche edits?**

Both are ways to get your link placed on high-authority sites, but they work differently. A guest post is a brand-new article we write and publish on a relevant site — you get full editorial control over the content and messaging. A niche edit (also called a link insertion) places your link into an existing article that's already indexed and ranking, which can deliver faster results since the page already has authority. Both go through the same quality vetting process.

**How long until placements go live?**

Once you approve an opportunity, placements typically go live within 28 days. For Fully Managed plans, you'll see the first placements within the first month.

**Do you offer managed monthly plans?**

Yes. If you prefer a hands-off approach with consistent monthly link velocity, we offer custom Fully Managed plans tailored to your goals and budget. Book a strategy session and we'll design a plan around your specific needs.

**Will links come from sites in my industry?**

Yes. Niche relevance is a core part of our vetting process. We source publishers that cover your industry and reach your target audience. You can also set criteria upfront — verticals to target, topics to avoid, traffic and authority minimums — and we'll only source opportunities that match.

**What anchor text strategy do you use?**

For managed plans, we develop a strategic anchor text plan based on your target keywords, existing link profile, and competitive landscape. For on-demand placements, you review and approve the content — including anchor text — before anything goes live. We aim for a natural, varied anchor profile that avoids over-optimization.
